Join us to hear, Karen Hooper, Director, Marketing Communications and Strategy at KBR, share how a 100-year old company has transformed itself as it moves forward as a one-year old independent entity.
KBR has been a part of Houston since George and Herman Brown established the engineering and construction company 100 years ago. KBR’s Brown & Root foundations literally built some of the foundations in Houston, from Rice Stadium to NASA to Minute Maid Park.
KBR was created by Halliburton's acquisition of Brown and Root and then M.W. Kellogg, a leader in hydrocarbon process technology. Together for 44 years KBR separated from Halliburton in 2007 and has since established itself as a public, standalone, Fortune 500 company, the fourth largest U. S. contractor based on revenues.
Marketing to private and government entities the world over with the largest portion of its business coming from the energy industry, KBR has worked to transform its brand, enhance client relationships, and support sales goals.
